Both of these stories have become firm favourites in Nursery and the children can often be found in the reading den or the woodland role play area retelling them or acting the stories out. We started our "If you go down to the woods today" topic by sharing the stories "Where's My Teddy" by Jez Alborough and "This is the Bear and the Scary Night" by Sarah Hayes.
We had a go at drawing self portraits and enjoyed sharing the stories "Nobot the Robot" by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet and also "From Head to Toe" By Eric Carle. We have talked about body parts and sang lots of action songs. Throughout this half term we have found out about ourselves and people who are special to us. lots of our grown ups went home happy that they'd been able to use the sparkly materials and some even asked what the next event was going to be - we will need to plan our next one! The stars are displayed on our "Reach for the Stars" display in the classroom where everybody can see them and admire our work! We think everybody enjoyed coming into Nursery.
